View notch hill web Notch Hill Notch Hill on the north side of Nanoose Harbour, is a hike/walk from the parking area as you head up the trail. In a few minutes, you will come up a bit of a steep trail to the top of the notch. From the top, you will see views of Mt. Arrowsmith, Nanoose Harbour and south to Nanaimo. The entire hike should take 30-60 minutes. Another nice thing about the hike is that you are walking in a Gary Oak ecosystem.
Enos Lake web Enos Lake & Beaver Ponds There is a network of trails around a series of ponds and ultimately Enos Lake itself, which makes for easy walking. Aquatic plants bloom in the wet edges of the pond and swampy streams that trap small invertebrates in their valve-lidded bladders. From a botanical perspective, these small ponds and wet areas are very interesting.
